on the 23/11 on fri aftnoon at ard 1620 in cambodia
the singapore team dragonboaters on their way to docking after the competition,
a wave hit them which result in the collision with a pontoon and the boat overturn
out of the 22 man crew. 17 surface and 5 did not and are missing until now
which is easily abt 40 hours away.
however much we hope tt it didnt happen at all
Mr stephen Loh, our pe teacher is one of the missing 5.
so far there are no solid reports abt survivors or bodies found,
lets hope tt no news means good news.
while we cant do anything tt will help in the situation,
as what ZJ joe wilson has said.
lets realli pray for his safety

Help with exams - read this it will seriously help?
1. Bring a pillow. Fall asleep (or pretend to) until the last 15 minutes. Wake up, say "oh geez, better get cracking" and do some gibberish work. Turn it in a few minutes early.
2. Get a copy of the exam, run out screaming "Andre, Andre, I've got the secret documents!!"
3. If it is a math/science exam, answer in essay form. If it is long answer/essay form, answer with numbers and symbols. Be creative. Use the integral symbol.
4. Make paper airplanes out of the exam. Aim them at the instructor's left nostril.
5. Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself out loud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm so sure you can hear me thinking. " Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is.
6. Bring cheerleaders.
7. Walk in, get the exam, sit down. About five minutes into it, loudly say to the instructor, "I don't understand any of this. I've been to every lecture all semester long! What's the deal? And who are you? Where's the regular guy?"
8. Bring a Game Boy (or Game Gear, etc. . . ). Play with the volume at max level.
9. On the answer sheet (book, whatever) find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative.
10. Bring pets.
11. Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off.
12. Fifteen minutes into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas. "If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every fifteen minutes.
13. Do the exam with crayons, paint, or fluorescent markers.
14. Come into the exam wearing slippers, a bathrobe, a towel on your head, and nothing else.
15. Come down with a BAD case of Turet's Syndrome during the exam. Be as vulgar as possible.
16. Do the entire exam in another language. If you don't know one, make one up! For math/science exams, try using Roman numerals.
17. Bring things to throw at the instructor when s/he's not looking. Blame it on the person nearest to you.
18. As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it.
19. Walk into the exam with an entourage. Claim you are going to be taping your next video during the exam. Try to get the instructor to let them stay, be persuasive. Tell the instructor to expect a percentage of the profits if they are allowed to stay.
20. Every five minutes, stand up, collect all your things, move to another seat, continue with the exam.
21. Turn in the exam approximately 30 minutes into it. As you walk out, start commenting on how easy it was.
22. Do the entire exam as if it was multiple choice and true/false. If it is a multiple choice exam, spell out interesting things (DCCAB. BABE. etc. . ).
23. Bring a black marker. Return the exam with all questions and answers completely blacked out.
24. Get the exam. Twenty minutes into it, throw your papers down violently, scream out "Forget this!" and walk out triumphantly.
25. Arrange a protest before the exam starts (i. e. Threaten the instructor that whether or not everyone's done, they are all leaving after one hour to go drink)
26. Show up completely drunk. (Completely drunk means at some point during the exam, you should start crying for mommy).
27. Every now and then, clap twice rapidly. If the instructor asks why, tell him/her in a very derogatory tone, "the light bulb that goes on above my head when I get an idea is hooked up to a clapper. DUH!"
28. Comment on how sexy the instructor is looking that day.
29. Come to the exam wearing a black cloak. After about 30 minutes, put on a white mask and start yelling "I'm here, the phantom of the opera" until they drag you away.
30. Go to an exam for a class you have no clue about, where you know the class is very small, and the instructor would recognize you if you belonged. Claim that you have been to every lecture. Fight for your right to take the exam.
31. Upon receiving the exam, look it over, while laughing loudly, say "you don't really expect me to waste my time on this drivel? Days of our Lives is on!!!"
32. Bring a water pistol with you.
33. From the moment the exam begins, hum the theme to Jeopardy. Ignore the instructor's requests for you to stop. When they finally get you to leave one way or another, begin whistling the theme to the Bridge on the River Kwai.
34. Start a brawl in the middle of the exam.
35. If the exam is math/science related, make up the longest proofs you could possibly think of. Get pi and imaginary numbers into most equations. If it is a written exam, relate everything to your own life story.
36. Come in wearing a full knight's outfit, complete with sword and shield.
37. Bring a friend to give you a back massage the entire way through the exam. Insist this person is needed, because you have bad circulation.
38. Bring cheat sheets for another class (make sure this is obvious. . . like history notes for a calculus exam. . . otherwise you're not just failing, you're getting kicked out too) and staple them to the exam, with the comment "Please use the attached notes for references as you see fit. "
39. When you walk in, complain about the heat.
40. After you get the exam, call the instructor over, point to any question, ask for the answer. Try to work it out of him/her.
41. One word: Wrestlemania.
42. Bring balloons, blow them up, start throwing them around like they do before concerts start.
43. Try to get people in the room to do the wave.
44. Play frisbee with a friend at the other side of the room.
45. Bring one pencil with a very sharp point. Break the point off your paper. Sharpen the pencil. Repeat this process for one hour.
46. Get deliveries of candy, flowers, balloons, telegrams, etc. . . sent to you every few minutes throughout the exam.
47. During the exam, take apart everything around you. Desks, chairs, anything you can reach.
48. Complete the exam with everything you write being backwards at a 90 degree angle.
49. Bring a musical instrument with you, play various tunes. If you are asked to stop, say "it helps me think. " Bring a copy of the Student Handbook with you, challenging the instructor to find the section on musical instruments during finals. Don't forget to use the phrase "Told you so".
50. Answer the exam with the "Top Ten Reasons Why Professor xxxx is a Terrible Teacher"(P.S don't really do this!!!!)

TIME...shoot
LOL...i think being at home and sleeping too much is going to my head...now i m suffering from acute insomnia...LOL...so with nothing to do...and dun feel like mugging..i decided to post something...BUCK UP PPLE!!!

mutiple intelligence index
Hello,
My pastor recently introduced this website to me: it’s about Multiple Intelligence. The idea is, there are 8 different types of intelligences, and each of us has differing areas of strength. Check it out - http://www.ldrc.ca/projects/miinventory/miinventory.php. It’s just a short test of 80 questions that can be answered by options (a bit like shading OAS, heh). After you’re done, perhaps you could just forward me your ID so I can take a look too? :D
I think knowing our personal strengths and inclinations in knowledge would prove pretty useful when applying them to our advantage in studying, determining a future career, and upping our self-worth (academics aren’t everything, right!). Anyway, if you’re interested, my pastor’s conducting a mini-lecture entitled “Understanding Your Multiple Intelligence Profile” – basically, he’s going to go into detail about the profiles we have (based on that URL I gave you) and tell us how we can apply that in real life. Which should be pretty interesting and useful, especially since we’re preparing for entry into university and the working world. It’s held on 4 August, 9am – 10.30am, and at the TOUCH Community Theatre’s Joy Basement Hall. I’ll be going, so you’ll have company if you decide to join me!

WHO NEEDS CONSULTATION FOR HYPOTHESIS TESTING??
LOL...100 posts...100 posts...100 posts...LOL the only remaining mantra in my mind...LOL...then after lookin at the sad exsistence of our class blog...as well as inspiration from char...LOL...i decided to "kop" her post...LOL...maybe not e entire post but the main idea...hahaha...enjoy... HAHAH...oh and since char kept her promise to upload photos i will definitely have to keep to my promise...LOL
BY THE WAY...THIS WOULD BE REALLY REALLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT UNDERSTAND HYPOTHESIS TESTING...HAHAHA
After CT results have been announced i noticed that we have an increase in library attendance, mugger sympotoms, decrease in MSN online peeps and even closet mugger sightings...
SO THE ULTIMANTE QUESTION: IS S05 A MUGGER CLASS??
Their null hypothesis, Ho : 06S05 is a mugger class.
My alternative hypothesis or claim, H1 : 06s05 is just full of muggers...LOL.
My arguments : Prior to the CT results we were pretty much still laid back...so considereing that in the past we were not mugger...and are only mugger now cos the entire school is pressuring us, we're NOT a mugger class....but simply STARTING to mug
Hence, pt 3 (=>p-value) <> level of significance. DOTZ...)
Thus, we reject Ho and conclude that there is INSUFFICIENT evidence, with regards to S05, to the claim that S05 is a mugger class.
this is called applying what u have learnt in life.

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't
waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart
will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life
of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and
corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an
efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain?
Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy
vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily
allowance of vegetable products.

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine,

I booked a place to play free games,
there are 12 computers for LAN, 3 Xbox, 1 PS3 and one Nintendo Wii.

Hahaha...yeah and as promised...i complied all the errors for the math revision package...so sorry i posted it so late cos i just did it today, previous days i have been mugging for my SAT...
1) Permutations and Combinations
Please make the following changes to Q9 from the above-mentioned topic:
The second part of the question should read:
Find the number of ways which he could accomplish his task if no adjacent doors are to be painted the same colour, and all 5 colours are used.
The part in bold is missing.

HELLO! :)
As promised, i'd changed the class blog template into a cuter one! i think the cartoon is damn cute! :D
spent an hour plus finding a suitable one and changing the template.
yes! i'm so proud of it. but if you've a better suggestion just voice it out k.
now that we've got a new look, fully utilise it OK! people, blog or at least tagGGG!!
the hol's starting, do give yourself a deserving rest before mugging hard for the CTs. YOU CAN DO IT PEOPLE! JIA YOU!!

Band and CO - Gold (i think all of u put in alot of effort and congrats on the gold.)
Then for Track n Field Meet
1. Terra!!! Got 2nd for the cheering competition....all thanks to terra-rists and xue lin whu carried jia yi
2. Nic, Aaron, Wei wen n Deyao (all of u ran really well today....we were all proud of u pple...even if u did not get 1st place...to use..u guys were the best runners and deserved to win ;)

i tink when i tok abt my 3rd law,the law of luck and e brillant strategist zhugeliang hu can predict everymove of his opponents but still died an unfulfiled death, i didnt talk abt the cause of his failure is his stupid loyalty towards his master liubei who was an extremely principled person.bt liubei son is a useless fellow. instead of following liubei advice to take over his son as ruler aft he death,he stupidly stood by a useless guy who repeatedly thwarted his efforts to unite china.after zhu death,liu's son become a captive as his country fell quickly. but v soon he ridiculously forgot tt he was once a ruler and foolishly contented with e luxury heaped on him to soften him. zhu failed in spite of all his brillance bcos he supported a fool. e moral of story is certain things in life cant b changed. e law of luck os sometimes caused by e foolishness and short-sightedness of human...

AHHHHHHH!!!!! I PASSED NAPFA!!! I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! I PASSED!!!! AHHH!!! SO HAPPY!!!! hahaha but i was funny la what happened today....at first it was really really sad cos there were only 4 OF US!!! as in the gurls doing napfa...when we were streching, the guys started running 2.4km....But i dun remember seeing chien wei...hmmm...yuting? hahaha kidding kidding. when they ran me and chris just keep scremaing for the guys to jia you...aaron was damn fast la!! but not surprising rite? then the 4 of us were so happy screaming that we did not realise that mr tong already started to brief the gurls....like we were the only 4 that were not there...and the only 4 screaming at guys no doubt...hahahaha....it was really funny...
For the pull up is was realy slack. I LOVE THE PEOPLE FROM SPORTS COUNCIL!!! THEY ROCK!! like as long as u make an EFFORT but nevver reach the bar they already count it as 1...which is prob why i passed...hahaha...

TODAY LIKE SUPER SUPER SLACK!!!! cos i dunno what happen to mr low...is he sick? Aniway durin maths lect the gurls (aka char, chris, mich, xiao min, me, chu) mass sms mr low telling him to get well soon and come back to school...His reply was soo sooo lame (p.s. how mr low not reading this hahah) HE said : THANK YOU MY FANS. Oh den during GP, ms ong let us off earlier so that she can go see the string ensemble practise. Hahaha...then we saw MING EN in action!!!!ahahaha...he was like walking from one end of the area to the other hahahaha...ME...don't kill me kay? we even took a video of him...but all of us (aka Xue yuan, ji, me and char) agree that he is good at double base...ME! must bring home a gold w honour kay?? Hahaha...then during his break he walk up to us and gave us like LOADS AND LOADS OF CASH!!! hahaha it was for the a level la butit was funny how he passed the money to us... he was like " how much is it arh? Huh? not enough arh? Oh ok...nah...take some more... this should b enuf rite?" Hahahaa....rich kid...hahahah kidding kidding...dino dun kill me kay?
Then during break the GP SLACKERS (aka xue, ji, char and me) we obviously the 1st one to reach the canteen and char expressed her love for ENG CHIEW and know xue yuan is asking almost everyone who this new boyfriend is....keep guessing xue yuan!! You will meet him one day... Then we say the pic of char on her ez-link...bah!!! chao funny!!! char no ofense la...but even MR Tsang was like laughing....but its not char's fault la "the photographer enlarged the picture in a inproportionate way" (in char's words)...hahahah....still can't stop laughing when i think about it

heys...i noe i noe.... long time no update...n i m really really really sorrie...but i keep forgetting to give the class the pass word...can anyone remind me?? haiz...my memory sucks... ani way just wanted to say congrats to a few people...
For PW!!! The class did really well cos there are actually a no. of classes that did not have a single A and our class has like half the people scoring As... to the people who did not get it from our class...it ok la...alot of pple say its not that impt aniway...so dun be upset kay?? Yeah...i noe this congrats is like..SLOW but i had no time...
Oh and special congrats to Deyao, char, xueyuan, ji, aaron groups cos they ALL got A...congrats!!
And for the Gurls 2.4 Km run!! congrats too....even i got a C...hahah *blush* i noe to a lot of pple out there its nothing to be proud of but i m really damn happy about it! I think i speak for all the gurls to say thanks to e guys...WE COULD NOT HAVE DUN IT WITHOUT U GUYS!! it was really sweet la... To the gurls (not from CO) and the guys, all the best for this sat!! I noe y'all can do itz! I m praying hard for myself though...dun think i'll pass...HA...die...
As for char and yingxu whu will be retaking DUN WORRY! hahaha i will be retaking with u...i hope not...But i really hope that the both of u will get well soon...Char (aka ms pai ka) hope ur ankle gets better, well at least u stop wearin the 'aunty' sandals...hahaha...KIDDING!

OKAYS...alot of pple say that our blog is dying...which i totally agree with....so would u all think it better if we do something like this? its an extract from my blog btw....so give comments kay? if u all want it to be like that then we can take turns... like 1 person once??
GOSH!!its only mon and i already want my weekend!!! HAHAHA....haiz...today morning there was a really heavy downpour...and evidently there were alot of latecomers...can you believe how many people from our class actually made it assembly?! 5!!! hahaha...SO FUNNY LA...only deyao, yingxu, CHU LING (YEAH...CHU LING...CAN U BELIEVE IT...CHU! NO OFFENSE!!) jessica and me...haahaha...i m sure mr low had an easy time attendance taking not like the usual craning his neck to find people...
today got the shock of my life!!!At first on our way to PE, xiao min told us the "new" teacher (cos our pervious teacher say she not working at NJC animore...but never said when she was quitting) and she said the new teacher made them run 12 rounds cos her fren's class was late!!! Wah...i totally chiong man!!!!!!I was so freaking scared la!!! Then ying xu confirmed the story, i was so tempted to just do a "dissapearing act"!! But luckily the teacher never change yet...
So for PE it was quite chiong la...for me, it was pretty chiong...we ran 6 round in total the average timing was 2.00 for guys and 2.30 for the gals per round....AFTER THAT STILL GOT SOMEMORE!!!!! we had to the bench exercises and for the gurl most of us kept staying on the bench til the teacher turn to look at us...hahaha....I m sure tomorrow pe gonna be gym la...perhaps lower body ex?
I was so happy!! today there was free period!!! Hahaha...instead of the usual chem lesson...truth be told totally no energy to listen to chem after PE...So me char and chris just sat at the bytes and chatted...ermz...bout the stuff gurls usally talk about ba...

GOSH!!its only mon and i already want my weekend!!! HAHAHA....haiz...today morning there was a really heavy downpour...and evidently there were alot of latecomers...can you believe how many people from our class actually made it assembly?! 5!!! hahaha...SO FUNNY LA...only deyao, yingxu, CHU LING (YEAH...CHU LING...CAN U BELIEVE IT...CHU! NO OFFENSE!!) jessica and me...haahaha...i m sure mr low had an easy time attendance taking not like the usual craning his neck to find people...
today got the shock of my life!!!At first on our way to PE, xiao min told us the "new" teacher (cos our pervious teacher say she not working at NJC animore...but never said when she was quitting) and she said the new teacher made them run 12 rounds cos her fren's class was late!!! Wah...i totally chiong man!!!!!!I was so freaking scared la!!! Then ying xu confirmed the story, i was so tempted to just do a "dissapearing act"!! But luckily the teacher never change yet...
So for PE it was quite chiong la...for me, it was pretty chiong...we ran 6 round in total the average timing was 2.00 for guys and 2.30 for the gals per round....AFTER THAT STILL GOT SOMEMORE!!!!! we had to the bench exercises and for the gurl most of us kept staying on the bench til the teacher turn to look at us...hahaha....I m sure tomorrow pe gonna be gym la...perhaps lower body ex?
I was so happy!! today there was free period!!! Hahaha...instead of the usual chem lesson...truth be told totally no energy to listen to chem after PE...So me char and chris just sat at the bytes and chatted...ermz...bout the stuff gurls usally talk about ba...

CAMP FOR THIS THURS AND FRI IS CANCELLED!
So that means we will be starting with the sustained event first which will start in april. Chu ling's group will be starting it.
So the leadership camp would then act as a finale of the whole event.The event was cancelled cos CDAC met with some problems.

Brownie Sale
Thanks to Yu Ting, for taking the extra effort to deco the brownies after baking it.
Zi Jiang, for helping bake the brownies when he already did the shephard pies.
Chu Ling, for helping me get the tissue paper at the last minute, and for the effort in baking the brownies (they taste OK la)
Thanks to the people who helped selling it, esp Christine, Michelle, Xiao Min, Chien Wei, Ming En, Jessica, Su Lwin and everyone else I've forgotten due to my poor memory (sorry). Without you guys, the brownies wouldn't have sold so well. :)
Thanks to Mr Low for helping us keep the shephard pies and brownies during lessons.
Special thanks to:
Steffi, who didn't claim the ingredient costs for the last bake of the pies.
Yu Ting, who wasn't in the fund-raising commitee but still shared the stress with us. xD

Oh...and each house needs to bake about 33 pies per day...the big kind...will tell you the specific no. at school...and so the people for that day will meet and make about 33 pies and bring to school the next day (bring all e 33 pies so tt u dun need to use your fridge) and the people who dun make will have to sell...the recepie i will post up soon...once i get the quantity rite...
As for the people selling...i need all of u to sell for 2 days for 2 shifts (break and lunch) from mon to fri so can you decide first which day is available for u then tell me on tomorrow??and i would need 4 people selling per day...Oh and so that all of us can have equal hours, those who dun make need to bake the brownies the next week (12th to about 14th Feb??) for the brownies, we need to see the profit we make from the pies before deciding how many to sell.... And similarily, those who bake shep pie will have to sell the brownies...so its fair
